Committees


Southwest Idaho SWE committees reach out to the community by providing professional development programs, encouraging students, and promoting SWE. If you'd like to join a committee, contact the committee lead.

Scholarship Committee
The scholarship program is one of Southwest Idaho SWE's most successful and rewarding programs. Committee members raise funds, inform schools and students of scholarship availability, judge applications, and plan the scholarship reception in late May. Leads: Tiffany Greyson (tiffany.greyson@hp.com) and Marie Binford (mariebinford@gmail.com)

Outreach Committee
The outreach committee reaches out to young girls in SW-Idaho, encouraging them to consider a career in engineering. Past programs the outreach committee has led or sponsored include e-Girls, Discover Engineering Day at BSU, Future City, Science Olympiad, and Girl Scouts. Lead: Open (swidahoswe@gmail.com)

The programs committee plans and runs SW-Idaho SWE networking, professional development and community service events. Lead: Open (swidahoswe@gmail.com)

Communications Committee
Members of the communications committee spread the word about SWE news and activities, through newsletters, press releases, meeting notices, and invitations. Lead: Open (swidahoswe@gmail.com)

HP-SWE Programs Committee
The HP-SWE programs committee is open to HP employees. Members plan and lead a variety of popular professional development brown bag lunches, webinars, and special seminars on topics of interest to HP's technical women. Lead: Open (swidahoswe@gmail.com)
